The Guyton Rail Trail is about a mile of trail that runs along part of the old decommissioned corridor of the Central of Georgia Railway. It is the county’s only rails-to-trails park open to runners, walkers and bikers alike. For a relaxing break and taste of Southern charm & hospitality, head to the Butterducks Winery. A local winery and vineyard celebrating its 15^th year where they offer wine flight tastings with products from their gift shop. A winery tour is held twice a year for their customers to step behind the scene with the winemaker to learn how their wines and unusual flavor combinations are made.

Studier’s Honeypotis another local specialty store in Guyton where they sell honey and all things bee –related. Family-owned since 1940, it was started as an apiary business that also rents hives to farmers from South Carolina to Florida. Recently it added this storefront to offer an assortment of honey-based items such as soap and skin care products. But raw honey remains as its core product with the much sought Tupelo honey.

Guyton is served by the Effingham Health System that encompasses five Family Medicine locations (one in Guyton) and a host of specialty care centers. By developing partnerships with regional specialists, EHS is bringing quality care close to home assuring that expert care is within easy access.
